The Basics of our In-Home Dog Boot Camp

What is Lucky Paws Boot Camp? Lucky Paws Dog Boot Camp Program is similar to a board & train program, but instead of sending your dog away for training, we come to you! How does it work? We do the training for you in your home, neighborhood or other locations where you most want your dog relaxed and well behaved. We can also pick up your dog from participating Doggie Daycare facilities. We schedule several sessions weekly, picking your dog up from your home or one of the daycares we work with during the day while you are busy working or running errands. You do not need to be home when we arrive, but you are welcome to be. Depending on the type of program you choose for your dog, typically 3 training sessions will be done each week one on one with your dog. Each training session is 60-90 minutes. Transfer sessions will be done weekly, bi-weekly or at the end of the program, depending on your individual situation to teach you what we have taught your dog. Who is it for? Bootcamp is great for puppies as young as 12 weeks and adult dogs of any age (we do occasionally work with younger puppies in need of extra socialization). Any dog in need of training with owners who have a busy schedule that doesn’t allow them time to attend group classes or spend enough time training their dog to a level of their liking. We also have separate programs for more complex behaviors like leash reactivity & aggression (contact us for more info) that can be difficult for a novice dog owner to take on by themselves. What do you teach? Every program is fully customized to your individual needs, the things listed on our programs page are just a guideline. We will ask you questions to learn about your lifestyle with your dog, your training goals and commands your dog already knows. We don’t want to teach your dog commands that you will never use! From basic training to advanced skills and behavior modification, we’ve got you covered! Who will be training my dog? Want to meet your trainer before diving in? The initial consult is included in your package purchase. If you choose not to purchase a Bootcamp Package, the cost for the initial consult is $140. During the initial consult, we come to your home to meet you and your dog. We will discuss your training goals in depth, any training your dog has already completed, and go over the logistics of the program. Still Have Questions?
